Overview
The Fleet Tanker is the Caravan's liquid-cargo sibling: the same 75,000-ton hull configured to carry fuel and reaction mass rather than dry freight, keeping TriStar's fleet — and the TSG's expeditionary formations — topped up far from any refinery.
Capabilities
Bulk fuel bunkerage in place of dry-cargo bays lets the Fleet Tanker refuel DropShips, stations, and JumpShips on the move, extending the operating radius of a fleet whose whole doctrine is independence from outside supply.
Deployment
Fleet Tankers ride the commercial routes and the TSG's military lift alike, the unglamorous enabler of long logistics tails; a dozen or so run military support, the rest commercial.
History
No campaign the Guards have fought was won by a tanker, and every one of them was made possible by one.
